HOW TO REGISTER ONLINE

STEP 1: SIGN IN TO PLAY FOOTBALL & REGISTER

PLEASE NOTE: The Playfootball registration process was updated last year. If you have any problems accessing your account please contact Playfootball Support through email support@playfootball.com.au or call (02) 8880 7983

Start by visiting: Playfootball.com.au and choose your option:

  • Returning Players “Re-registering to play this season?”– type club name Gymea United Football Club, click on pop up box for your club and then claim your existing account by logging in with the same details you used last year.

Once signed in, you can register yourself or your linked family members. If you have forgotten your password reset it here

  • Players who have never played “New to Football” choose your age group and then type in your suburb (or club suburb) or postcode, choose the red pin point to find out more and follow the prompts that take you to create a participant account. View help video HERE
  • Coaches, Referees & Volunteers Re-registering – type club name, Gymea United Football Club, click on pop up box for your club and then claim your existing account by logging in with the same details you used last year.

If your name has changed or you’ve noticed an error in your date of birth you MUST contact your Club Registrar registrar@gufc.com.au NOT Playfootball support.

New Junior Player

Register into the age group that the player will be turning in 2025; If you have never played in the Sutherland Shire before type “NP” when prompted.

Returning MiniRoos Player
Choose the age group that includes the age that the player will be you will be turning in 2025.

U8s (Boys/Mixed) or W8s (for all girl teams).

Returning Junior Players
Choose the age group that includes the age that the player will be turning in 2025.

If you wish to play up a year please email registrar@gufc.com.au to express your interest.

Returning Senior Players
Register to your applicable age group you would like to be in for 2025; When prompted add your 2024 team name/coach to the mandatory question as this helps your volunteers sort you into teams.  Team/Coach e.g. <Team> <SURNAME>

New Senior Players
Register to your applicable age group you would like to be in for 2025; When prompted add your previous club and team name. If you have never played in the Sutherland Shire before type “NP”.

 

TO VALIDATE YOUR IDENTITY:

PHOTOS

Mandatory New Photos for ALL PLAYERS aged 10 and above

Male & Female Players progressing to U10/W10 and ALL players who are playing in U10/W10 and ABOVE age groups, must upload a CURRENT passport style photo to their profile.

No hats or glasses to be worn. (Please have this ready before you commence your registration)

PLAYERS NEW to the SSFA – PROOF OF AGE and PROOF OF RESIDENCY
Please complete the on-line registration process.  Any player new to an SSFA club will need to show proof of date of birth and proof of residency in the Sutherland Shire. These documents can be submitted to our registrar via:

  1. Proof of Age and Residency Sighting https://form.jotform.com/243166279540056
  2. Presented in person at the face to face registration day Monday 2nd and Wednesday 4th February 2026, 5pm – 7pm – visit Facebook for times & latest information.

The following list of documents are the only acceptable form of proof accepted:

Proof of Age:

    • passport
    • birth certificate
    • driver’s licence (including digital Licences)

Proof of residency within the Sutherland Shire:

    • Current driver’s licence with address unaltered (including digital Licences)
    • Current document from a financial institution or government agency (e.g., bank or council rates) Please note tenancy agreements, phone or utility bills will not be accepted

 

STEP 2: PAYMENTS

All registrations must be paid online so please have your credit/debit card ready. If you are unable to pay online, please email registrar@gufc.com.au

DISCOUNTS:

Active Kids vouchers can be used towards registration for any school aged children, but YOU MUST have a valid voucher code BEFORE proceeding with payment.

For family discounts please register all family members. You will then need to contact our treasurer, finance@gufc.com.au to claim back the family discount. You will need to provide the names of the family members and your BSB & Account Number so the refund can be issued (refunds cannot be returned to your credit card)

  • Family Discount (3 or more players at the club)
    • U6-18 $20 per player
    • U21 and up $40 per player

DO YOU WEAR SPORTS GLASSES TO PLAY?

If you are NEW to wearing Sports Glasses:

    1. Upload a passport style photo of you wearing Sports Glasses with your PlayFootball registration
    2. Visit the below link to complete online form to request SSFA approval and upload supporting documents.

Approval to wear Sports Glasses in 2025:  https://form.jotform.com/242258263623052 If you have PREVIOUSLY provided this information, then at start of each season, please visit the link above to request approval for 2025.

These steps are essential to ensure the safety and compliance of eyewear on the field and will be used for your photo ID card. Thank you for your cooperation!
