Online Training Allocation Procedures
NEW SYSTEM THIS YEAR
ONLY COACHES OR MANAGERS REGISTERED VIA OUR CLUB SSFA SHARED SERVICES WEBSITE WILL BE INVITED TO SUBMIT A TRAINING TIME SLOT.
ALL TEAMS WILL NEED TO HAVE BOTH A REGISTERED COACH and MANAGER TO GAIN TEAM TRAINING ALLOCATIONS FINAL APPROVAL.
Each Coach and Manager will be emailed a link to a form. This form will allow each team 3 Options.. Please fill the form in and submit by Friday 7th of March. The committee will review the choices and allocate your team a field for training by Friday 14th of March. If you have any questions please email registrar6-7@gufc.com.au
GUFC has approximately 160 teams and finding a convenient training time for all of them is difficult. Therefore, our club has set up Training Allocation Rules that apply to all teams so that GUFC commitee can manage the training schedule whilst following our duty of care.
If slots are left unfilled, GUFC may then offer them to teams from other age groups or for a second day. But we have to be mindful of safety aspects and prefer not to have U6 teams training alongside senior teams for example.
It is understood that there are many dynamics to consider within each team, their families, work and other activities. Unfortunately, every possibility cannot be accommodated, though we will do our best. The Training Allocation Rules have been structured based on previous seasons’ Training Allocation Schedules.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR TRAINING PRE-SEASON AND DURING THE SEASON
Training at fields other than our club allocated fields, Gymea Bay Ovals 1 & 2 and Kareela 2 (Tue or Thur only) is strictly prohibited by the Sutherland Shire Football Association and sanctions, such as fines may be levied. Also training at other fields may leave you (the Coach and/or Manager) personally liable, as no Insurance is provided for the players or yourselves as officials.
