What a fabulous start to the club’s 60th year celebrations.  Gymea played a great game, scoring just before halftime to lead 1 nil.

The boys fought hard right through the second half conceding the equaliser in the 92nd minute in injury time.
Unfortunately the game went to extra time and had no luck whatsoever … going down 3-1.

Team did Gymea proud and it was a great initiative for the 60th season.  Photo below is of the team warming up before the game in their retro training shirt.

Thanks to the AL1 team and the AL2 & 21A teams for providing players.

Message from the team’s coach, Gary Lockwood:
Thanks to everyone who came down to watch the FFA Cup tie tonight. Your support is very much appreciated and it’s great for many of us to be back at Gymea. We didn’t get the win but the boys I think did the club proud! Again thanks for the support from everyone.
