Well it has taken a few years, but we finally had a beautiful sunny day for Junior Presentation day - and it was worth the wait.

Thanks to all GUFC junior players and their families for coming along and enjoying a great day of presentations, rides, SSF games and fun for the kids. And it was all capped off by that spectacular fireworks display at night. 

All our junior players, u6-u18, were presented with a trophy and acknowledged for their efforts in 2011. There were some outstanding achievements this season, and it was great to recognise player, coaching and manager contributions.

Perhaps though the greatest thing about the day was the GUFC community getting together - and everyone, young and old, having fun afternoon with team mates, family and friends............It's what sport and GUFC is all about.

Congratulations to Steve Brann (pictured left below) named 2011 Giant of the Year for his role as sponsorship officer on the GUFC committee. Giant of the Year is our annual award for volunteer services to GUFC.

Thank you to the wonderful 11D's, premiership winners in 2011, for taking on the Dale King All stars (pictured below) in a very entertaining match.

Thank you to Anthony Severino (pictured right), GUFC committee member, who organised the entire day.

Also big thanks to Paul Worthy and Bec King for a their work in arranging the trophies. And to all the helpers on the day

For our junior players, that's it for another football season. Look forward to seeing you all in  2012.
