2011 member survey results

Thank you to all members who took part in the 2011 GUFC member survey. Results were fairly consistent with previous years.

As always, the survey provided some very useful feedback for the committee and will contribute to the GUFC strategic planning.

General results for 2011

  • Members were generally satisfied with GUFC in 2011 – Outstanding (15.4%), Very satisfied (43.1%), Satisfied (30.8%) and Poor (10.8%).
  • Members rate club operations very well – including communication, general organisation, ground control and social events. Value for money is an area some members would like to see improved.
  • Members rated most club facilities well – including amenities canteen, gear and uniforms well. Playing fields continue to be an area for improvement for members.
  • In relation to our core values, over 80-90% of members strongly agree or agree that GUFC is:
    o Family oriented
    o Good sports
    o Safe and supportive
    o Fosters players at all levels
  • GUFC coaches and managers rate the level of information, education and support well - excellent (21%) , good (61%), average (14%), poor (4%).
  • In terms of volunteering for the committee, some members indicated they may be interested – yes (3%) and maybe (18%). Most people indicate a lack of time as the reason they cannot get involved.

2. Grading
3. Thanks to the committee

Other comments were made in the areas of ground allocation, training equipment, team support, development, timing of junior women games, referee allocation, behaviour and acknowledgement of players.
